IVF clinics and plasmids

I know someone who is currently working at an IVF clinic in the heart of Londinium. It occurred to me that there are a lot of parallels between working in an IVF centre and Bioshock's, Rapture.

1. The plasmids in Bioshock and the theoretical modification of stem cells aren’t far off. You could easily make some money on the side. I think they still sell junior chemistry sets in Woolworths.

2. The relationship between the Big Daddy and Little Sister in Bioshock isn’t far removed from the relationship between future parent and child. Both will put their lives on the line for the safety of their ward.3. First came the 4X4 pram and the next must have item for the fashion conscious parent will be the deep-sea diver suit. It affords protection from potential threats and the helmet changes colour to indicate mood to the outside world. "No sweety, if your going to be like that I'll kill the puppy."

4. Whether you allow your child to grow into a vessel for raw human DNA/Adam (that sounds just about as wrong as it should) is completely down to parental supervision.

Ignore all the above, I think its come about from not having lunch yet...*rumble*
