John Delaney, a professor at the University of Washington is working on the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI.) The OOI plans to lay cables across the ocean bed to study the way tsunamis occur and how oceans regulate the planet's ecosystem.
It means mad or maybe just normal scientists and marine biologists will be able to study the deep from their lush cubicles instead of having to brave the open waters.
I can already tell you what lurks in the deep: The Deep Ones and Cthulhu! Don’t go down there fools, tsunami knowledge isn’t worth risking their wrath!
